Literature Text
They say Beauty rests in the beholder's eyes,
And it fills mine each time and this I realize,
She possess a beauty which words find hard to summarize,
Yet, at first, something was amiss,
Like the Eiffel tower missing from Paris,
Like a flower yet to be in full bliss,
Her beauty was incomplete to me,
Like a diamond uncut,
I knew there was more to see,
But not sure just what,
So I called on my bravery,
And asked her to smile for me,
And that was the last time,
My heart beat normally,
For after that everything changed,
And my heart had skipped a few,
I told her, "It had to be rearranged,
Simply to make room for you."
Her beauty surpassed any ocean or sea,
Indeed she was that precious to me,
And I stood there in front of her,
And found myself lost for a while,
What else could I do?
I had just met the girl with the golden smile.

In your arms
I hope there will come a day when you don’t let me leave.
And not as as a ‘second round’ deal but you asked me to stay the night
The dream I had was set as such:
You kissed me goodnight and walked me to the car.
And just before you walked inside, you held your hand out
And asked me to stay.
I stayed, I stayed what felt like days.
We barely woke up to greet the morning
because your eyes were the most important sunrise.
I let you fill my cracks with gold so that I could see that my scars could still be beautiful
I welcomed you to pushing me down
Just so you could have

poem
here i lay beside you
gazing upon you bare before me
and in the curves of your body i can see my future unraveling
every pore in your skin a new adventure
every other centimeter calling out
waiting to be touched
and i cannot resist
i cannot withhold
the desire within me
to embark on a voyage through you
filling every crevise
until i can recall each piece of you as if it were my own
and end my journey
resting my head upon the peaks of your breasts
able to hear your heartbeat
like a song that only sounds when we are together
telling us that in this moment
it is only us
and will remain that way forever

Two Angels
Clouded eyes.
Her innocent anesthesia. Her
cruel words.
Her cut. Her caramel hair,
tumbling down her back. The last
I saw of her as she walked away.
Left me off guard.
A topaz heart rebuilt
by a chance. Her dark flash
against my lightness. Her
pull away from a safe haven.
Her breaking and rebuilding. As
I whispered I never, I can't,
I will
under the hot lights.
